Let's address the slightly awkward elephant in the room.
I've come to my senses.
I'm only human. Things get said, emotions happen, frustrations boil over, and occasionally you look at everything you've built and think, "Right. Screw it. Let's burn the whole bloody thing down."
But I've had a bit of time to step back and realise something pretty important:
We're not going anywhere.
We Are Horror Records isn't going anywhere. The label, the shows, the music, the artists and everything I've been building is still here.
So rather than setting fire to the entire thing and walking away, I'm doing the complete opposite.
I'm doubling down.
I'm investing more into the label, protecting some of the brands and names I've built by moving forward with trademarking them, and making sure that the things I've worked incredibly hard to create have a future.
Because let's face it, if it's good enough for a certain hobbit-type frontman to chase people down over names and trademarks, then it's probably good enough for me too. 😂
I'm also looking at rebuilding bridges and re-establishing some working relationships that have become strained along the way.
Again, I'm only human.
I'm learning, I'm growing, and occasionally getting things spectacularly wrong, and I'm trying to do better.
What matters is that We Are Horror Records is still here.
And I'm genuinely excited about what's next.
Thank you for sticking with us, supporting the bands, coming to the shows, buying the records and merch, sharing the posts, singing along and generally helping keep this weird little corner of horror punk alive.
There's plenty more to come.
See you at Horror Punk Fest.
