How does a Metallica-obsessed kid discovering the Misfits through Garage Inc. and WCW Nitro eventually end up running a horror punk record label and putting together his own festival?

Well... apparently this is how.

I recently sat down with The Punkzine to talk about We Are Horror Records, Horror Punk Fest, and how this whole thing ended up becoming a much bigger part of my life than I ever expected.

We get into my own route into horror punk, the influence of bands and labels that sent me down the rabbit hole in the first place, and how a lockdown radio show called Horror Punk’s Not Dead! eventually snowballed into compilations, releases, working directly with bands and, four years later, We Are Horror Records as it exists today.

There’s also some history behind my involvement with Oracular, including how their current lineup came together, plus a bit about what actually goes into curating Horror Punk Fest and where I’d like to take the festival in the years ahead.

And, inevitably, we get onto one of the biggest problems facing grassroots music right now: getting people through the bloody door.

There are also my top three horror films, because obviously that question was never getting avoided.
